This GPS system is loaded with features that can actually track the hunting dog and more it can in fact pin point their pray. However, this technology can be easily deployed to protect and track domestic dogs.
Garmin Astro Dog Tracking GPS system has two parts color LCD handheld GPS device and all-weather resistant collar. Your dog will wear the collar which transmits signals to the handheld device via satellite. Once the collar is attached to dog and turned on you can let your dog loose. On the GPS screen, every 5 seconds you will see your dog's updated location and the trail where the dog has been on the LCD map. Very intuitive way of keeping close steps with your dog at all time and track him down they accidentally stray away.
