Dog Summer Shoes
When we think summer the picture is always perfect with no fret attitude that we could get easily sidetracked from our obligations to protect our pets. As in winter cold, summer period is also challenging for our dog to play, walk and be safe outdoors.
Here is the count to protect your dog paws with dog shoes during summer:
1) Summer is the time when the grass and the green are treated with chemicals like fertilizers and pesticides. Dogs walking and playing without summer shoes will be exposed to these chemicals.
2) The asphalt during summer reaches high temperature and could get hot and your dog will endure pain from heat walk on asphalt.
3) Summer hiking with your dog, I’m not sure if our dogs will appreciate that we wear supported hiking shoes and they go wandering bare paws on rough hiking terrains.
4) Increase in summer car traffic is also a concern, the risk for accidents are high. Dog shoes or boots with reflectors will help safeguard them from passerby traffic by making them more visible.
Warning – I must add that it is important not to leave boots or shoes on your dog's feet all the time, if indoors; let your dog go around bare paws as this will help their natural calluses to develop and lighten up their paws as intended naturally.
