Pairing Instruction For Bluetooth Headset With Cell Phone Or PDA Devices – How To Pair A Bluetooth Device

Posted June 12th by admin in Cell Phone

With the new regulation in place, no more driving while talking on cell phone in my town - I ended up buying Bluetooth headset device and paired it with my cell phone. After two months I changed my cell phone and by that time I lost the instruction to pair my new cell phone with my Bluetooth headset. I really had hard time figuring out the pairing process. In desperation, I was almost ready to buy a new Bluetooth headset. Luckily, I found the instructions and I will post it here not to loose it again. My headset model is Motorola H700 and in general these instructions works for majority of Bluetooth headset devices:

On your Bluetooth headset:
1- Make sure the headset is turned off (indicator light is not blinking and if your model has a headset boom it should be closed.

2- Press and hold the call button. After about 4 seconds, the indicator light becomes steadily lit.

3- Release the call button and immediately turn on your headset or open the headset boom. The indicator light should remain steadily lit. If the indicator light is flashing when turning on the headset or after opening the headset boom' repeat steps 1 to 3.

On your phone:
1- Press Menu> Settings> Connection> Bluetooth> Handsfree> Look For Devices.

2- Once detected, select your device model on your phone display (in my case Motorola H700).

3- Select Ok or Yes to pair your Bluetooth headset with your phone.

4- Enter the pass key for your Bluetooth headset for majority Motorola models the pass key is' "0000"

5- Select OK.

Your set to go. And remember, always use your Bluetooth headset while driving this will help you to have both hands on the wheel. If you can avoid making phone calls while driving this is the safest way to go.
