I really found them online for $12.99……
I was a bit skeptical, but I received delivery in 7 days with no problems.
Here’s where I got mine…..Don’t know how many they have left though.

Yeah, really its kinda hard to get them from online stores. I got mine with the help of this site http://www.squidoo.com/zhuzhupetsblackfriday directly from Amazon.com. Hope it helps and you get your own Zhu Zhu Pets before christmas.
If you want them before Christmas, you either need to pay through the nose to eBay resellers or camp in front of Walmart/Target/ T ‘r’ Us, etc. hoping to get them. both things are not really rational…
Walmart and most of the other huge boxes really got caught off guard on Zhu Zhu pets. I ordered mine from a distributor the first week of September and just got part of the order in recently. Toysrus probably did the best of any of them but they are generally limiting people to one per person/family per day. At this point, the factories are doing the best they can, but these come by boat so even if they leave China tomorrow, you are talking about Christmas time before they get across the ocean, clear customs, make it to the distribution centers, and finally filter down to the stores. There is a rumor of a huge deal that was about to be signed with a major retailer that will pretty much flood the market with them in 2010 but I estimate it will be February or March until there is any real stock available. As far as the sellers on ebay selling the new stuff goes, I place my order in several weeks ago for a shipment of the 2010 stuff that is scheduled to arrive mid January. Most sellers I’ve seen are doing pre-orders and don’t really have any stock. They are trying to get the maximum price now by offering them for pre-sale before anyone gets any stock. I’ve seen a few that say guaranteed shipping by Christmas but my bet is they will end up having to refund those auctions.
What happens is that eBay sellers in general use technology to their advantage. I personally know one of these re-sellers that uses a piece of software to track when a specific item hits Amazon.com inventory. As soon as it does, he buys it. In that way, eBay resellers hoard the market for whatever is hot and then make a killing reselling it.
I give a more detailed explanation of the method in http://hardtogetonline.com
It’s really not hard to do once somebody clarifies it to you… just need a browser and some patience.
